Thermovent T is a sterile, single-use heat and moisture exchanger that provides effective humidification for spontaneously breathing patients whose upper airways are bypassed by a tracheal or tracheostomy tube.
These devices are used to:
Treat adult or paediatric patients with a tidal volume of more than 70 mL
Reduce heat loss through the bronchopulmonary tree
Help to prevent thickened secretions and changes in lung function
Supply additional oxygen when required
Preserve humidity and minimise damage to tracheal epithelial cells
